Aurèle Joliat - Tournoi de golf - 27 juillet 1984
Léo Gravelle était invité spécial à ce tournoi en
1984. Il m'avait demandé si je pouvais communiquer avec Aurèle Joliat
qui passait ses étés au Lac McGregor en Outaouais pour l'inviter.
Un seul coup de téléphone a suffit. Aurèle répond et après une courte
introduction, il me dit : Tu sais Denys, je passe mes étés à ce chalet
depuis mon enfance. et aujourd'hui, j'entre dans le chalet, le téléphone
sonne et je reçoit l'invitation de Léo. Alors, il me fera plaisir de
vous voir tous au Tecumseh le 27 juillet. Merci!
Ce fut une journée mémorable autant pour Aurèle que pour Léo ainsi que
pour de nombreux admirateurs qui ont profité de l'occasion pour discuter
avec eux.
Aurèle avait 83 ans lors de sa présence à cet événement.
Il est malheureusement décédé moins de 2 ans plus tard (2 juin 1986)

Guest appearance at the Tecumseh Golf Club upon
special invitation by Léo Gravelle
Léo was special guest to a golf tournament at the
Tecumseh Golf Clb in Gatineau in 1984. He had asked me if I could try to
contact Aurèle Joliat who stayed at his cottage at Lake McGregor and
invite him to the tournament.
One phone call was needed. Aurèle answered and, after a short
introduction, he said to me: You know Denys, I have spent all my summers
at this cottage since I was a young boy. Now, I come into the cottage,
the phone rings and I receive Léo's invitation. So I will be delighted
to attend this tournament at the Tecumseh on July 27th.
It was a memorable day for both Aurèle and Léo, as
well as many fans that got to chat with them.
Aurèle was 83 years old when he attended this event.
He passed away less than two years later (June 2, 1986)
